Regent University Hypocrisy

Regent University is supposed to be America's preeminent Christian University. As such, one would expect certain standards for its staff. Like... not having sex with children.

Stephen McPherson, a former Regent University law school assistant dean, pleaded guilty Friday in Chesapeake Circuit Court to sexually abusing children.

McPherson, 39, of Chesapeake entered guilty pleas to two counts of forcible sodomy and two counts of object sexual penetration. He is set to be sentenced May 22.

I’m sure he specialized in ethics. At least he pleaded guilty.

McPherson took advantage of young girls who where in his care because the came from abusive families. He fits the classic Christian predator model we’ve seen so many times here on Hypocrisy Watch. Easy access to children because of misplaced and undeserved trust enables men who liked to abuse children. When will they learn?

Hat tip to Mike! Thanks mate.

I was raised Pentecostal. Pentecostals and Charismatics, especially, claim a special "unction" of the Holy Spirit to live godly (moral, according to their lights) lives. Well, Regents University (you know, Pat Robertson, et al) is Charismatic. That's what drew my attention to this item.
Lucky for this guy he is saved and will, if he is truly repentant, receive forgiveness and still see the kingdom of God - as opposed to the REST of the criminals who do this, who don't rate pages here, who unfortunately will spend eternity burning in the lake of fire... hopefully not with you, because I pray right now, in Jesus' name, that someone comes alongside you to show you the truth. Hallelujah! God bless you, dude!
What does Regent have to do with one man? So, should I blame you along with this whole country for the criminal acts that occur? That means that you're a hypocrite because you should be held accountable for their crimes. Grow up!
This doesn't make any sense to me. I love speaking my mind as well, and I am far from being a conservative....but I don't measure everyone over one person's mistake. Studying at a conservative christian school does not mean that it makes the person a saint. This blog does not present enough information for me to even give it credit. If you like speaking your mind and want to be listened, provide more info. That may help me and others figure out where the intelligence lies.
