Mormon Bishop (which is like a pastor, but without any training) Gerald Tapp has a problem with child porn...
Tapp had accessed the internet and found he could create a persona and be someone else.
This became like an addiction for him.
Tapp, who was formerly a bishop in the Mormon church, had images and movies of children ranging from six months to 12 years old.
Alistair Keith, mitigating, said: "He accepts he must be punished."
Tapp thought he was communicating with a 12-year-old girl. It turned out to be a 33 year old pervert. What a sad little man.
Can you imagine? Your wife walks up and sees you looking at kiddie porn on the family PC? What happens then? If she divorces him, he would still claim her as his wife in heaven. There is no escape from the pervert. The LDS is so bizarre.

Actually, she can have a temple divorce from him, and they won't be married after life. Not to mention, if he's looking at kiddy porn, he's totally breaking his side of the deal, and even if they stayed together, being married in heaven is based on some very strict covenants (agreements), and if you break them, you break the marriage. So, no, in Mormon theology she would absolutely not be stuck with him, period.

Actually there's quite a bit of training, and far more intensive interviewing than is required for most churches' clergy, but a Mormon Bishop isn't paid.

Not only can she divorce him, but he also loses his place in a family sealing.
