Pastor goes to prison for 25-50 years

Youth Pastor David J. Baird was sentenced to a long stretch in prison because he violated a sacred trust. By day he was a trusted youth pastor who helped guide troubled youths toward college and a better life. By night he molested young boys.

An East Hills boy was the first of the three to come forward, saying the assaults began when he was 9 or 10 years old, and Mr. Baird assaulted him 20 to 40 times over the years. After the first victim went public, two more came forward.
All three testified that after Mr. Baird assaulted them, he would begin to cry and ask for forgiveness, and then they would pray together.
Several of Mr. Baird's friends and family members -- more than 30 were in the courtroom -- wept after Judge Zottola announced his sentence. For two rape convictions, Mr. Baird was sentenced to 10 to 20 years, plus five to 10 years for indecent assault.

Yikes, what a monster. How many children did he molest over the years? Four have come forward. There could be many more.

Pastor Baird was the youth minister at Covenant Church of Pittsburgh in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania.

David Baird and I were room mates, at Youth With A Mission in Titusville Pa. We spent 2 months in Mexico doing a play called missionary. We use to witness Jesus to women that were goning into a male exotic club. We did so many these for Christ. You could of knocked me over with a feather when I heard about this. I found out fom a fellow YWAM student on face book. Never of guessed this.

Pastor David Baird is not a child molester. I knew him and his wife well. I allowed my son to go to his ranch and spend the night with his kids. One day he had a young man in his home he welcomed in. The Holy Spirit told me to tell him and his wife that one of the children they allowed into their home needed to be removed or it will be detrimental to their entire life. Did you know that one of his accusers broke down on the witness stand and admitted that he was paid $2,000.00 to lie on Pastor Dave. The other witness was prostituted as a young boy by his mother and walked in homesexuality and operated in a lying spirit. The third witness had a sister that accused someone of raping her and the allegations turned out to be false. Wake up church. Satan comes to kill, steal, and to destroy. I know that you can go to jail and be innocent. I know another young man in prison for murder. Everyone in the streets knew who the real murderer was, however lacked the courage to come forward to point the finger justly at the him for fear. Isaiah Hereford is currently in prison and is completely innocent with witnesses as proof. We must raise the standard in the spirit.Enough asking God for money all the time as a focus, and beg him to save a generation of souls which are perishing. Lift Pastor David up. He is a man of God. And I knew him and Laura to be integral righteous people.

I was very close to the Baird family (maybe you may not see this since it has been awhile). David was my son's god father. Just thought I would let you know that he confessed while in prison to his crimes. It hurt to find that out but thought you should know.
