Mrs. James Dobson, I think her name is Shirley. Thinks that the Virginia Tech Gunman Cho Seung could have been prevented from murdering 33 people if he had only been exposed to the ten commandments. Apparently prolonged exposure to Commandment #6 must be a miracle cure for mental illness, because it sure has done little to stop murder.
- You shall have no other gods before me
- You shall not make yourself an idol
- You shall not make wrongful use of the name of your God
- Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy
- Honor your parents
- You shall not murder
- You shall not commit adultery
- You shall not steal
- You shall not bear false witness
- You shall not covet your neighbor's wife. You shall not covet your neighbor's house
“We can’t post the Ten Commandments any more, we can’t pray in school, Bible reading isn’t allowed by the teachers and then we expect our students, you know, to have this moral discipline and I just wonder if this young man (Virginia Tech gunman Cho) had been looking up every day in his classroom to the Ten Commandments, Thou Shalt Not Kill, if it would have made a difference in his life.”
Besides the obvious stupidity of her words. She is simply misinformed. Cho was a Christian. His own pastor has said he understood the bible (and presumably the Ten Commandments too, because I'm pretty sure the are in the bible.)
According to a pastor at Centreville Korean Presbyterian Church, Cho was an intelligent student who understood the Bible
Of course, James Dobson could have classified Cho as a non-Christian. It is something he likes to do.

Since when did the big three moral issues involve fighting gun control? Poverty isn't on the list, but unfettered access to high-powered weaponry is a moral right for the fundamentalists. I just don't get it. Do these idiots have even the remotest idea of what Jesus stood for?
Not everyone believes in a god. What is so hard to understand about this? Why do people choose to say such things as Mrs.Dobson does? Don't they do research into subjects such as this before trying to be all holier than thou? A set of rules or laws doesn't always work.
