This photo is my first attempt at a High Dynamic Range (HDR). I'm not at all happy with the result. It is very different than the image I was trying to build in my minds eye. I would say different in an unexpected and to me, unappealing way. I'm going to need lots of practice with this technique. Not to mention that it's a pain in the ass and time consuming. I spent a total of two hours on this test photo. I hope the learning curve gets easier.
