I had dinner with my boss tonight. He told me a story of a friend who had quit a job as a stockbroker to pursue a second life as an artist. His story inspired me to finish a piece I had been working on for a few weeks. For the lack of a better name, I'll call it "The Body" (for now anyway). It fits my mood around the seasonal change for daylight savings. The piece is mixed media – a combination of found objects, scanning, and photographic textures.
My wife liked it so it has passed my acid test for posting to my blog. If my wife like it, the work is not too dark for publication.
