Murder Jerry Branton Hobbs III

This story - it sickens me. Please tell me that Illinois has a death penalty; this bastard disserves to die. We should consider looking at his whole bloodline, somebody this cold-blooded is sure to have had negative family influences who helped shape his behavior. Perhaps a little public humiliation is in order?

Update June 2011 - Jerry Branton Hobbs III has been exonerated.

I strongly suspect that Hobbs has Fetal Alchohol Syndrome (FAS), as many, many violent criminals do, especially repeat offenders. (His mother drank alchohol while she was pregnant with him, and it caused permanent, irreversible brain damage in him.)Look it up. Read about the characteristics. It would explain EVERYTHING. Having said all this, I still believe the death penalty is appropriate, whether a murderer has FAS or not! I just wish the prison system would work hard to identify FAS in inmates, so they'd KEEP THEM IN PRISON WHERE THEY CAN'T DO MORE HARM!!!
Jerry Hobbs has been completely exonerated. Good thing he was not executed.
