Berkeley Prof Hatem Bazian Calls for Intifada in America

FrontPage magazine.com :: Berkeley Prof Slithers on Call for Intifada in America by Jonathan Calt Harris

We pay this man to teach our children. He is calling for violence in America to further the cause of what? Calling for an intifada We pay his salary right? He should be fired and left to spread his poison to another audience. I know Berkeley is supposed to be the place for free speech – but really, start a war here? Even if you call it an intifada, it’s still just plain wrong. Hatem Bazian, you should be ashamed of yourself.

See for yourselves here

Hatem Bazian represents the finest tradition of scholarship and free speach that America. His comments on the need for an "intifada" have been quoted out of context. Intifada is the arabic term for uprising. The ensueing controversy , smear campaign and death threats that Professor Bazian has highlighted the profound cultural ignorance and xenophobia that exists in this country surrounding the Arab world! stop this nonsense - your igonorance speaks for itself!

I love words, my favorite is Sedition. Can you say SEDITION?

Sedition is defined as: a going apart, dissention. Conduct tending toward treason, but wanting an overt act; attempts made, by meetings or speeches, or by publications, to disturb the tranquility of the state, which do not amount to treason.

Sedition in time of War is a serious crime. Hatem Bazian’s video-taped words call for bringing the Intifada to America. Intifada today means violent uprising. A violent uprising in America is just plain wrong. I respect his right to free speech, but I think he broke the law. I’d love to see the matter brought before a judge. I wonder if the FBI has seen the video?
