Ministering from behind bars is insanity

Pastor David Love is serving a life sentence for second degree murder. He killed the husband of his lover so that he could run away and start a new life. 20/20 recently posted a profile of the case. I posted on Love's arrest and his lover Teresa Stone's subsequent arrest back in 2010. A line from the 20/20 profile troubled me. It closed by saying that David Love is ministering to others from behind bars. How is that possible?

I realize we cannot stop Love from preaching, but where is his authority to do so? How can a admitted adulterer and convicted murderer preach? Where are the protests? Where is the outrage? Oh hell, just show me one editorial and I'll be happy. It won't happen though. It never does. Christianity is sick. Love is but one of the symptoms.

Does anybody actually "need" moral authority to play pretend?

No. Not at all.
I figure thats what all religious "leaders" are doing...just playing pretend...acting like they know something that can't possibly be known. Of course its equally viable to conclude that since they don't seem to realize that they are playing pretend, that they might be more accurately called "delusional". I have the highest respect for your work with this blog, I just have a hard time concluding that religious people are s'pose to make sense.
Don't get me wrong. I don't think they are supposed to make sense either. Instead I like to point out, usually through sarcasm, that they make no sense, have no standards, and live a lie. I call them out to get them to THINK.
I don't see the problem, if one actually reads the bible one will find that Joshua, Moses, Gideon were all mass murders. They were the moral equivalent of Sadaam Husien. Yahweh seems to be in favor or murder, genocide, and ethnic cleansing. He kills men, women, children, and babies, hell, he even kills livestock for living in the wrong city. I can't imagine one being excluded from heaven for murder, the bible is full of sex, murder and mayhem.

The bible is full of everything you say, but the message Christians preach today is an one of love and peace, along with a strong does of moral superiority. All of which is hypocrisy when it comes from the mouth of a convicted murderer.
