2. My hotmail says it doesn't recognise your email address? Is the adress right? Or is it me?

ReplyDelete
3. yes - its right, but I used a antispam thingy. mojoeyATgmail.com - replace the AT with a @. It should work fine, or use the link in my profile.

ReplyDelete
4. To post code, you can write it in something like a Paint program, save it as an image, and then upload the image. Like was done here. I've never needed to do it myself. But the procedure makes sense, I think.

ReplyDelete
5. To post code you just need to replace all of the > and < symbols with the codes > and < respectively. You can then post the code with no problems.

Hey Joey, just a quick note, wordpress users can't really paste the code... restrictively retarded.

"Satan is in all of this! Beware of what you are doing.

Satan is sneaking these thoughts into your heads. He is trying to keep you from believing in God. You must not fall for this trick.

Pray to God and you will see for yourself the truth of these matters.

Anyone calling themselves an atheist is being controled by demons or satan himself.

You must ask God into your hearts!"

I like being controlled by Satan, it gives me something to do on weekends ;)

9. Great idea, mojoey. Just added your atheist blogroll to my page. (and would love to join the roll, even though the link list on my page is the only explicitly atheist thing about it!)

mojoey - hats off to you. This is the best plan I have seen in a long time. The xtian right evangelicals have done their worst and we badly need intelligent opinion free from the influence of the lawd.

I added my blog to your roll. Keep up the great work.

11. I have just added this to my page - someone put me on the list, for which I'm grateful. But I don't know how to automate the pinging process, and didn't see anything on the blogrolling page?

ReplyDelete
12. Like the guy above me, I can't figure out how to automate the pinging process. How do I do it? Thanks.

ReplyDelete
13. Regarding Pinging,

In Blogger there is a setting on publishing tab called notify weblogs.com. Set this to yes. I also recommend getting a FeedBurner account. FeedBurner does a good job at the same thing, but notifies more services.

ReplyDelete
14. I downloaded the code, but haven't a clue what to do with it. I don't speak computer very well. Can anyone hold me by the hand and take me step by step through the process? I mean like" First, turn on your computer. Second, turn on your monitor. Third, Breathe. Fourth,... and so on.

15. That blogroll is way too long. I have enough in my sidebar already, and already had to cut out things because they would slow down the rest of the sidebar waiting for the included JS to load.

Could, say, the blogroll simply be replaced with a link back to here?

ReplyDelete
16. New options are available - I posted a rolling version limited to 25 of the most recently updated entries.

Please see This entry

ReplyDelete
17. I'll try to add the blogroll when I get sober. :D

ReplyDelete
18. Well Mojoey, I like your blog just fine, but I have some sticky points. Two things in your minumum requirements to join your list of fellow travelers are impediments to me. "You must" sounds a lot like "Thou shalt" and sticks in my craw.

Also "No pornography please" indicates that I can't talk about the rape of the virginal Tamar at the hands of her brother Amnon, or the incredibly raw deal she got from him afterwards.

Nor can I refer to the the interlude between Lot and his daughters after his wife got salty. The Bible is replete with other erotic tales which are interesting to contemplate, but the anti-pornography dictum pretty much puts them off-limits.

People can however link to my blog without impediment, including yourself. I'm a pretty laissez faire sort. An attempt at reasonable spelling and coherent thought are about all I hope for.

And if someone should manage to be annoying, they won't be censored. They will be perhaps a little abrasively responded to instead.

Anyway, you and your friends are welcome to visit or link or share your thoughts without reservation.

We need not confine ourselves to religion and other superstitions either. Nice to meet you.

And I'd not mind being added - such a small community needs to band together.

ReplyDelete
21. DBB - right, no naughty pictures. one of the first people I linked to started showing pictures of himself. It was bad for business.

24. Thought I'd mention my news & facts blog, Daily Atheist. (http://dailyatheist.blogspot.com ) I have included the blog roll on it, so it would be nice to be included in it

It's a bit more convenient and interesting for me to do this type of blog than to ponder eternally on what to write.

ReplyDelete
25. just added mine .. but i think the list has become overcrowded?

ReplyDelete
26. I'm with you, but "atheism" is weak and gives the game away. I'm an anti-supernaturalist. To set yourself up in opposition to "God" is to suggest the word actually refers to something, that is, to an idea at the very least. But "God" doesn't. Few people seem to have anything coherent in mind, and it's unverifiable even that any two people mean the same thing. Religion is a word game I'd rather not play or encourage.

ReplyDelete
27. thumbs up to you mojoey .. the blogroll is an interesting way of "uniting" like and apparently opposing minds ^_^

56. Hey bid, we were on the blogroll but don't see ourselves on there now. Currently we are exposing Frank Walton one of the most dishonest Christians online consistently libeling other atheists. It turns out that his claims of being stalked by others are actually he himself creating other accounts and making it appear as if he is being stalked. This is an important project as he has talked an abundant amount of trash on tons of atheists, and we really want it exposed. For some reason we don't show up in the blogroll. Did you receive a message from him or a shady character similar to him about our blog?

He has done a good job of creating his own hate sites, and we can easily see how one might be confused. You can find good reason to trust us by looking at the footer of the RationalResponders.com website and seeing that we're currently listed. They said they can't list us for very long, they are only listing us to prove our legitimacy.

Here is a post that describes the deceit ofFrank Walton Also the only legitimate site we know of that exposes Frank, in a sometimes satirical manner is our site all about Frank Walton and his atheism sucks friends.

74. Please tell the McCain/Palin Campaign (preferrably politely) why teaching creationism in our public schools around America is superstitious and is not in our nation's best interests. These are the feelers McCain has out there, the way in which Americans can have a voice and be heard by his campaign:

Contact his campaign directly here:

http://www.johnmccain.com/Contact/

Or go to his blogs and leave a polite message about the subject matter wherever appropriate:

http://www.johnmccain.com/blog/

Remember, McCain does a lot of things right and is a great heroic war veteran who genuinely puts his country first, but Creationism is one key area where he is completely wrong and could potentially create a major setback for American students and businesses. We can't let America fall behind foriegn countries in the departments of Science and Technology because of his superstitious beliefs.

Life without a Higher Spiritual Being can be pretty rough. However, it is sad that so many different denominations turn people away instead of draw them in. I can see where being an athiest would be something of value to someone who may have been hurt by churches, pastors, and other supposed leaders that are supposedly leading those to this Higher Being. However, I think it is sad if you have never experienced that Spiritual connection ever. It is a high that no drug or other endorphine!

88. I'm using the 25 blogrolling list and I notice that out of the 800+ or so blogs, the ones that always gets listed are just around 50 or so. Is the listing random or is there some algorithm for it? Thanks!

89. I just put the rolling list on my site, (the daily mull) and every time I click on a blog in the blogroll, I get sent here. I assume this is a bug, and not a feature... :).

90. Ken, I would have to see the code you used. What you have is not functioning as designed. Can you email the code to me?

91. Danny Boy - the 25 rolling list uses pings to update the list. Only those who are pinging will show up. I'll post a note about it.

I think Murky Thoughts has the right idea: anti-supernatural is the best approach. And while we're on that topic, folks like youneedmercy puzzle me deeply. Why do people who believe in a god also have to believe so strongly in all those alternative competing deities and demigods? Isn't it enough for them to have one god?

And while I'm still thinking about it, what kind of universe is it where the creator makes all these wondrous supernatural beings with incredible powers and abilities, and eternal life, then sits down and says "I think I'll make man to be my supreme achievement. I'll make him weak and stupid, and stick him on some backwater planet and make his life nasty, brutish, and short (I copied that), and if he screws up I'll burn him forever."?
