Update on the youth pastor Jeff Eddie case

Pastor Jeff Eddie, profile here, apparently had so many sexual experiences with children at his church that he could not keep count.

In the sodomy complaint filed against Eddie, police said the abuse came to light after a church member walked in on Eddie with his hands up a minor's shirt. One of the victims says Eddie engaged in sex acts with him downstairs in the church's electrical room at least once a month going back to 2011, when the child was 11 years old. The incidents happened until July of last year, the child said, and then happened twice after that.

Jesus has left the building...

The American Church is hemorrhaging.

“We [the Millennials] want to be challenged to live lives of holiness, not only when it comes to sex, but also when it comes to living simply, caring for the poor and oppressed, pursuing reconciliation, engaging in creation care and becoming peacemakers. You can’t hand us a latte and then go about business as usual and expect us to stick around. We’re not leaving the church because we don’t find the cool factor there; we’re leaving the church because we don’t find Jesus there.”

I have listened to JT at Pimppreacher.com and he also agrees that many of the Christian churches are big money making marketing scams. Glenn Beck was worth 800 million dollars but watching him made me uncomfortable because he emanated con man. Hang out on a Christian website to get money and all you have to do is proclaim. " I am Christian, I am a Man of God, I hate Gays, and Let us Pray," and everyone reaches for their wallet. Christians are conditioned to give and support if the label "Christian" is attached. What I have come to realize is they are completely controlled including all their political views. It is very disappointing to realize the debt of control all the media outlets and the churches have on these people and how they are exploited for their money. All these multi-millionaire media outlets control the people but why give your control to people like Glenn Beck? They look out for their own self interest as most people do. I realize how much I don't know so it bothers me how people can be so trusting.

Update on Pastor Jeff Eddie: Here is the Pastor at the church Jeff Eddie once preached before his arrest. Listen to what the Pastor Brett Pitman says about the Eddie sex abuse tragedy.

"Prior to his role at Highland Park Baptist, Eddie was employed by North Highland Baptist Church near Tuscumbia, North Village Baptist Church in Florence and one other unconfirmed church, according to his personal website.

Brett Pitman, pastor of Highland Park Baptist, discussed at the Alabama State Evangelism Conference in Montgomery Feb. 24-25 the church's desire to minister to the hurting families affected by the tragedy.

During his sermon, Pitman said suffering provides an opportunity for God to be glorified. He urged listeners to allow weeping to lead them to worship.

"When you are stripped bare ... beaten down ... and yet in the midst of that through [a] broken heart you're able to stand and worship the one true, holy God," Pitman said, "... it will be the most glorious worship you will ever experience. In the midst of suffering, get your eyes off the storm and ... on Jesus."

Here are the Baptists again saying that the abuse will bring them closer to God!

There people are brainwashed. It is a tragedy and it makes me nauseous.

I think JT from pimpreacher.com is very brave man. He speaks out in a world that will crush you if you speak against the Church. I hope his vision is realized. He wants Christianity to minister to people: to get single women and children out of homeless shelters and create educational institutions to train people and elevate them from their poverty. Instead, the money goes to pimp preachers with flashy planes and palatial mansions and humongous churches.

I am blown away by JT. I may not agree with him completely but JT is what you would call a true Christian.
Awesome beard man, not a fan of what is going on in the church but seeing your great beard has made me smile.
