He's put a black mark against Christianity

The mother of a kidnap victim said this in reference to Pastor Dale Richardson. He allegedly kidnapped a woman at gunpoint with the intention of raping her. She escaped and alerted authorities. The victim’s mother is a study in contradictions. On one hand she gives credit to God for her daughter’s escape, on the other she does not realize that if God helped her daughter get away, well then God out her into the situation in the first place.

Martin says she still lives in disbelief knowing that a pastor is accused of kidnapping her daughter, Autumn Good, 39, and trying to rape her.
"He has made a mockery of the church of Jesus Christ, our savior, because the Lord is not lot that," stated Martin.
A devout Christian, Martin says her daughter met Richardson at a Hess gas station in North Charleston on June 21.

Christians sometimes make my head spin. Jesus is not like what? A serial rapist? Well no shit. Most of the people alive today are not like scumbag pastor Dale Richardson.

What really blew me away was this statement, "God moved in a supernatural way from having to go through what the other girls went through." So God saved your daughter but let his pastor rape the others? What kind of a god do you worship Julia Martin? Because, if he had the power to save your daughter and did not help the others, your god is evil or indifferent, or both. Why bend a knew to that?

It's that "blinkered" world view mainly used in support of the feel good motif. Religion is a drug in this respect. When the only important goal is to feel good, any opiate will suffice.

Once, in the midst of pulling bodies from the debris in the aftermath of a hurricane I heard a woman thanking her God (for the news crew) as a drown body surfaced behind her and floated out of camera range. One never forgets.

Christians ,and people of faith are blind to the concept rational thought . When I was in Texas a bus of young kids returning from of all Places Bible Camp got hit by a Mexican Semi driver who was drunk. Killed half the kids on the bus. News crew interviewing parents at the scene one women stood in front of the camera ,and said "Jesus must have been looking out for my child because she is OK ." The friends ,and families of the dead children standing right there! Amazing .

Due to two other rapes that happened two months ago which includes the one described above and another last year in North Charleston which he was also arrested for.....he was given the option to bail out yet again, this time the bail is $1 million.

Must be the godly waters in S. Carolina:

"family preservation therapist" Carl Smith is pastor of River Road Baptist Church. He was arrested last week in Greer SC... during a prostitution sting.

"... Smith is an ordained Christian minister, has more than 11 years experience as a pastor, and more than 18 years experience as a family preservation therapist, Department of Social Services foster care case manager/supervisor, family violence intervention program facilitator, and franchise consultant for a major national company."
