A tribute to Specialist Jose A. Torre, Jr.

I never knew Jose Torre. By all accounts Specialist Jose A. Torre, Jr. was a good man. I knew his uncle, another good man who was senselessly murdered years ago. His aunt Debbie was my family babysitter back in the day. I knew his mother too. She was a friend of the family from my days at Artesia high school. The only tribute I can offer is placing this video here on my blog so that Google will index it and hopefully assure a front page return for people searching for information about him.

My condolences Candida.

I know too many people who have died in the wars. I hope the wars end honorably, and soon.

I was privileged to have known Torre. We served, struggled, and learned together through basic training and AIT. He was a great man and an excellent soldier, and his loss weighs heavy in the hearts of all those who knew him. Rest in Paradise brother.
