Pastor Johnny Washington sentenced

Pastor Johnny Washington faced overwhelming evidence of his sexual crimes against young children and the possibility of life in prison if convicted. Facing this stark reality, he pleaded guilty in exchange for 25 years in prison. He's 45 now, he will be about 70 went he's released. Of course, that assumes he survives as a convicted child rapist in prison. I hope he goes to Joliette.

Since Washington pleaded guilty, I am sure to receive email from followers telling me of his innocence or that he took a plea to avoid embarrassing his young victims, they were 5 and 6 at the time of the crimes. Save  it. the facts speak for themselves. Pastor Washington is an admitted pedophile, nothing will ever change that.

I think that what I'd like to start seeing in each and every one of these cases is a thorough investigation of what other church officials knew, when they knew it (or if they didn't know it, whether a reasonable person in their place should have known it), etc. I suspect that it isn't just the Catholic church that has been complicit in concealing such crimes.

That's an excellent idea. Would anyone be shocked if children came forward and were shamed and told "you're speaking about a man of god, shame on you!". A teacher, by law, must report any accusation or suspicion. So must a doctor, nurse, therapist, camp counselor, daycare worker...the list goes on. If there were signs, scuttlebutt or direct reports...the church leadership should be held to a similar standard.

He is such a DISGUSTING, HORRIBLE,MAN he needs to be put UNDER the jail or better yet he needs to be RAPED while in jail over and over and over again until he gets out and as for his wife she knew he was doing it she just didn't want to go to jail herself just plain DUMB and to be a pastor to when he does DIE he is going to HELL.
