Oprah in 2020. Please no.

I know this might not be a popular position, but I’m not a fan of an Oprah Winfrey 2020 run for president. I see Oprah as the liberal version of Donald Trump. We don’t need that, no matter how popular she is with the masses.

I hope the Democrats get their act together. I’m concerned.

It will be interesting to see who they decide to run. I'm feeling increasingly pessimistic that they have many options capable of uniting such a fractured party.

It’s a structural problem. Right now, it’s SJW and identity politics that fail to focus on broad uniting ideas. Something needs to change and they need leadership, good leadership.

We've gone from statesmen to career politicians and now to career celebrities. As unappealing as a President Trump or Winfrey are to me, I do see a silver lining in the growing appetite for outsiders.
