Pet peeves - Oversharing

I met a man who told me all about his life in the four hours we spent together. I find the experience hard to take. I also find it hard to take overt Christian propaganda this this from my drive home tonight.

What I find baffling is the oversharing that some do on social media. Even if they have much more confidence in Facebook's privacy settings than I do, why they think anybody wants to know every detail of their life is beyond me.

I really don't get it. I share a bunch of things with my extended family, but not all of my Facebook friends. Oversharing people post stuff that just blows my mind. Take a post I saw yesterday about a medical procedure posted from the hospital with a selfie. In the post the person asked for money to help offset the cost of the procedure. Really?
