Pastor Charles Savage indicted

Pastor Charles Savage is back in trouble again. This time he’s been indicted by the Adams County Grand Jury or the following crimes.

Charles Savage, 68, of Xenia, was indicted on the charge of Sexual Battery (seven counts) and Corruption of a Minor (four counts), felonies of the third degree.

He was charged with a similar crime in September of 2010, but his charges were dropped. I’ve been harassed and threaten by Savage’s supporters for almost two years. I even had to disable comments on my original post. I almost never disable comments. I am happy he’s heading back to court to face justice.

I’ve got a copy of the indictment. It’s chilling. The victim was a child between the age of 13 and 16 and was a not family member, the condition that applies is loco parentis. The indictments read:

Corruption of a minor: Being eighteen years of age or older, did engage in sexual conduct with another, who is not the spouse of he offender, when the offender knows such other person is thirteen years of age or older but less than sixteen years of age, or he offender is reckless in that regards.

Sexual Battery: Did engage in sexual conduct with another, not the spouse of the offender, when the offender si the other person’s natural or adoptive parent, or a s stepparent, or guardian custodian, or person is loco parentis.

I will follow this case closely. Every bit of information I find will be posted here.

Ohio AG ROCKS!! · 666 weeks ago

Could you please post all of the victory post from the Savage supporters from the last comment thread so they can EAT THEIR WORDS!!!!! Just so you know, the Ohio Attorney Generals office took the lead on the investigation and now has the steering wheel on this. Mike Dewine who is the AG is from Savage's home county-Greene County. My guess is that Dewine is having a "not in my backyard" motivation to see justice through on this one. Another FYI...first court date is August 6th. You should plan a trip!!

I plan to post some of the worst examples as the case hits the courts.

these charges involve the same child involved in the original charges....now that the AG for Ohio has taken the case maybe justice will finally be served. Bet he thought he'd gotten away with it since the original charges were dropped...SURPRISE!!!!
So what did he plead?

i'm sure he doesn't have the guts to pled guilty and save everyone the trouble and the heartache (on both sides) that is sure to come from a trial.

He plead guilty today. Guess he wasn't willing to let a jury of his peers decide his fate. What is most sad is that with all of the defenses delays and what-not the state and the vistim just want it closed and done with. So sad that justice was not really served, but at least the vicitim can have the satisfaction of everyone knowing he is not a liar and that the abuser finally stepped up and admitted his guilt.

Yeah, he said he pled guilty to Don touching him, and then he didn't report it so now he's in trouble.... What a crock!
Yeah, the judge didn't buy that either, and it even hurt savage in the eyes of the court and judge was even stiffer with him because of it.

"justice not served",

your handle is right on target. but you are wrong on "admitted his guilt". he may have pleaded guilty, but he never admitted he was guilty. a savage has never done wrong and has NEVER apologized for anything. never will. the day a savage says "i was wrong" is the day hell freezes over. according to bobo the judge told savage he had no remorse. some that doesn't run in savage blood is remorse.
