Associate pastor Arnold Maurice Mathis, profiled here, should never have been allowed to work as a pastor. Since there are no standards for this profession, anyone can lead a church. One must only profess faith. Every crime or defect is forgiven or overlooked. Arnold Mathis is a registered sex offender. Yet, he was somehow allowed to lead a church. He allegedly used his position to gain the trust of a young girl, and then rape her. He’s a real model of Christian morality.
According to the PCSO, Mathis first met the victim at a local basketball game and offered to "help" the victim financially. Sheriff Judd says, "He approached this young man at a concession stand at a basketball game."
He also offered to buy the victim new shoes. The victim, who had no father figure in his life at the time, believed Mathis was trying to mentor him.

Mathis allegedly bought the troubled youth with shoes and kindness. Are pastor’s taught this technique in school? It seems pretty damn common.
Mathis is the assistant pastor of. I’m betting they did not do a background check.

However, once someone confesses and say that God has delivered them from something then we as people of born again believers have to believe them. If we don't then we as Believers are saying that God is not a deliver (that is from their sins).
However, God give insight to his followers, (Pastors, Evangelists, Bishops, and etc.) that insight is called the gift of discernment. The bible also says to know those that labor among you. As a Pastor or Leader of a congregation you can not monitor your entire congregation and the activities that they are involved in outside of church, but what you do is pray that they live a life according to the principles of God. If a person portrays to be someone "Holy"(upright) inside of the church and some hypocrite outside of the church, then that person has to stand in judgement for themself on judgement day. For the bible says that I will do the judging....all molesters will have to stand in give account to their actions and deeds on this day.

So is Maurice innocent for the actions that he has done, NO!!! And I repeat it again NO!
Most likely he was molested as a young man himself. And the bible speaks of spirits being transferrable. However the person has to take upon themselves not to yield to the spirit, for the bible says to "shun the appearance of evil", that means to abstain from it. Once you have been taken advantage of by someone and stripped of your valuables you are never the same. It becomes a "demon" on the inside of you that you have to constantly fight of every day of your life.
Sadly to say but this behavior is often portrayed inside of many churches, whether it is of the Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, Holiness, or A.M.E faith it is being done. This demonic spirit is strong and often tries to hide itself in church. Because that demon tells them that nobody is going to think that I am a molester because I am a leader in the church, but the bible is revealing itself daily and pulling the covers off those who proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and prey on our little babies, young men and women.

My heart goes out to the young man just for having the courage to come forth and let somebody know that this has happened to him. Because this is something this young man is going to have to live with the rest of his life. So many times the victim of molestation keep their secrets hidden because of how they may think someone is going to look at them or feel about them after the secret has come out, but thank God for this young man he had enough strength inside of him to reveal the ugly "demon" that is inside of Maurice.
And for Maurice I hope he realizes that the devil is nothing to play with and God will forgive him for what he has done. If you practice something you then become perfect at it. Maurice you continued to practice an engage in these sinful ugly ways until you became perfect at it. My heart goes out to you because besides this part of your life you can be a good person. But you continue to let this demonic spirit over take you, until it has gotten you caught up and tangled up into a web. Also I pray that God have mercy on your soul and that it is not another victim out here, because if it is you are going to BURN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
