Youth pastor Sammy Nuckolls arrested

I waited before posting this story. It seemed off to me. It looks like I was wrong. Youth pastor and traveling evangelist Sammy Nuckolls was arrested for video voyeurism.

Sammy Nuckolls was first charged in Gosnell, Arkansas. Then he was charged in his hometown of Olive Branch, Mississippi. Thursday, the police department in a second Arkansas town said charges are pending.

Nuckolls was initially charged last week while preaching at a revival at Gosnell Baptist Church. A church member told investigators she was about to take a shower when she spotted the pen camera poking out of a shaving kit Nuckolls had left in the bathroom.

I wonder how the alleged victim felt when she discovered a camera position to watch her take a shower? She trusted Nuckolls enough to bring him into her home. Was it because he was a pastor our preaching the word? I’m sure she’s rethinking the concept of unearned trust. A person is not automatically good because they are a pastor. I’d think Christians would get that by now.

I have to disagree with you that she will rethink how she treats preachers. She will continue to give them her trust and it will be abused as it always has been for the most part. She might trust men a little less but in the end her childhood training will keep her in line with the christian way of thinking.

My daddy use to say" If a man tells you he is a preacher,makes sure you keep your wallet out of site." Now you can't trust them in your home. When will people learn that a christian preacher is nothing more than a Con-artist,and as we see here a Pervert.

Silly assessment. Quite a shallow comment on a "Deep Thoughts" blog. Do you quit going to the doctor altogether just because a few are quacks? Do you quit school because a few teachers do terrible things? Do you avoid calling 911 because some police are dishonest or abusive? Do you not get married because some men are abusive? Do you not have kids because some kids rebel? Seriously, the list goes on and on!

Do you put Billy Graham in the category of con artist or pervert? I've been married to a pastor for 30 years and he is the kindest, most generous, honest, Spirit-filled person that I know. There are counterfeits in every field.

Rather go to church with a few of them than to hell with all of them. Up to you.
