Introducing Blond Nonbeliever

Hi, I’m Kasha. I have just launched the Blonde Nonbeliever blog. I’m a blonde girl living at the beach in the deep American South, which alone should explain why I felt like I feverishly needed to write about what I encounter down here in the last notch in the bible belt. I’ve always lived in the South and have been a life-long nonbeliever. I have stories to share dating back to my childhood when I was a young closet atheist hiding among church-going friends and family. Please swing by as I continue to blog. I added you on Facebook because I enjoy reading about your views on dealing with a religious society. The story about the Mormons is something we all have a shared understanding of. The last time I had to deal with a pair of door knockers I simply told them that I was an Atheist. They asked me what would lead me to such a thing and I replied "Because I grew up, and grew out of the need for imaginary friends" With nothing in their vast dogmatic repository to retort with. Their foreheads sloped more, they hunched foreward and drug their poor knuckles off of my doorstep to return to their sad little journey. Poor little talking monkeys, someday they'll evolve, but as for now, we just shoe them away.
