Youth pastor Drew Underwood

Youth pastor – why do you think it’s ok to solicit underage girls for sex over the internet? OK – I’m assuming it’s the internet. I could be wrong. The facts state “electronic communication system”. Youth pastor Drew Underwood has some explaining to do.
Underwood is a former employee of Kentucky Heartland Outreach. He posted on his MySpace page that he is a youth minister at Mt. Roberts Baptist Church. Pickard said he was also told that Underwood maintains that employment.
However, Kyle Franklin, pastor at Mt. Roberts Baptist Church, said just before press time that Underwood no longer works at his church. He declined to stay when Underwood's employment ended.
I consider this type of idiocy culling the herd.

There is suspicion that one of the people or youth he worked with at his camp used his computer.

All charges against Underwood were dropped after he was able to provide evidence that his computer was used by another person without his knowledge or consent to commit the crime that he was accused of.

Thanks for the news. I've updated the post to reflect that the charges
were dropped. I have a policy here on my blog that states anyone who
was accused of crime that I posted about can make a guest post if the
charges were dropped or they are found innocent. I'd like to extend
the offer to Drew Underwood. If you know him, please pass this along.
Other people had access to his computer? So his only crime is being dumb ,and not securing his computer with password protection that any child can install ? Well, good for him: they can't convict a person for being stupid.Or can they ?

Apparently it's not a crime to just be stupid. There would never be enough non-stupid people left over to run the jails if it were.
The real lesson here is information security. All churches should have
a policy that include a unique userid and password. Plus, mandatory
log out for inactivity.
The charges may have been dropped ,and he can claim that it was not him? But this one is not to bright.I think we will see him back eventually. Can't get them all.

I'm willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. We need proof to
convict these pedophiles. This may well serve as a warning to the guy.
Pretty sure if you entrust someone to let them borrow your computer and that person does something stupid, the owner of the computer isn't stupid, just trusts people too much. Give him a break

He's already getting a break. They bought his story about others using his computer. Don't mislabel it as a trust issue. It's inaccurate.

I know this is long past but since this occurred 2 females in his youth groups have committed suicide and he has been declined positions due to this and other shady situations around town. He is in no way innocent.
