Pastor Royce Shorter arrested

I smell a rat. Pastor Royce C. Shorter has a history as pastor who raped children. He went to prison for the crime 25 years ago. Now he is back in court on new charges, and using the same MO. He owns a church and a music business which he runs from the same building. He gives private music lessons to children without outside supervision. And now he’s been charged with raping a 15-year-old female student. But that’s not all. Police have identified 4 additional victims and there may be many as 25 victims in total.

A Renton minister is being held on $350,000 bail after he pleaded not guilty to accusations he raped a teenage girl during music lessons at his Seattle studio.
Royce C. Shorter was arraigned Thursday morning at the King County Courthouse in downtown Seattle on two counts of third-degree rape and one count of third-degree child molestation.

Note to parents: Did you trust this man with your children because of the façade of godliness he maintained? My advice is never trust a pastor with your kids. Its your job to protect them and not to serve them up as a meal. All the warning signs were there. A self owned and managed church. a large ego. No pastoral oversight. the over the top godliness. Earning a living off the people he was supposed to serve. Private lessons in a secluded building. Did you tied a bow around your daughters when you dropped them off for lessons?

I wonder if his bail is so low because he calls himself a minister. I know most times around here if the crime charged involves a child the bail is up over 500,000. I would say there are parents that need to better understand the dangers to their children. The problem is that the media doesn't make people aware of the real dangers to children but only seem to focus on those stranger abductions. Most stats I have seen suggest over 85% of all sexual abuse against minors is committed by people known to the family.

People who abuse a child trust ,for sexual reasons should be chained to the back of a truck ,and dragged through the streets until dead for any others who might do the same to see.

There are a lot of people out there that know that he has been having sex with teens for years. Hopefully, more of them will come forth. He really needs to be locked up, so he won't hurt anyone else. You would be surprised though, how many people still want to blame the victim. I think they would have a change of heart, if it was one of their relatives being abused. I heard one say that the young lady wanted it; that is why we have the laws we have, underaged kids can be easily incluenced by these types of scumbags. My heart and prayers go out to the victims...there are still good pastors out there. Keep the faith!

As Christians we need to realize that no one is perfect, and let the first one without sin cast the first stone. If God can forgive you for your sins, don't think that god can forgive other people for their sins? No one has a heaven or hell to put anyone in but God. Instead of stating your opinions about what should be done about this issue, why don't get on your knees and pray.

Read This - It is disgusting

We are the Support Team who has committed to stand with Rev. Shorter who as you know is truly engaged in a fight for his life. We consider the order of the court to be a blessing. Pastor Shorter has been blessed with the opportunity to walk a path similar to path walked by the Apostle Paul. For this we are truly grateful.

We are asking everyone who is willing to pray and ask God to speak to your heart about how God wants you to be a financial support to Rev. Shorter. . We believe God will lead some of us to support His servant with a monthly blessing, others will be able to be a blessing on behalf of their congregation or business others will make a periodic or one time sacrificial offering. Whatever God places on your heart the blessing will go to support Rev. Shorter; the offering is unto the Lord.

In closing, more information will be sent about the April 16th gathering of those who stand in support of Rev. Shorter.

This guy used to come to my place of work every sunday (I work with juvenile delinquents) and I complained about his approach to bible study. Everyone I work with ignored me!

The rally for Shorter will be held this Friday, April 16
Greater New Bethel located - 5279 Rainier Ave South - Seattle 98118
Meeting with clergy 10:00 -10:30am
Meeting with the community 10:30 -11:00am

The are trying to make a martyr out of Shorter by saying that the prosecutors are using the new Clemmons law nd the new 2 strikes for sexual offences to put him a way for life.

They could care less about the victims.

I think every women who has ever been abused, raped or molested should show up at this rally to show support for the victims.

It is not the church's right or obligation to do anything but pray and ask God to both deliver brother Shorter and encourage him in the Lord.

i have known Rev Shorter since i was 18 and i am now 40. We to had an intimate realationship but the first thing he asked me was. How old are you i told him i was 18 and he said okay then what ever we do from here is okay since you are of age. If he was a bad man he would have never came up with those questions. I will let you know even though i was young i was seriously attracted to him and i let him know it. So some of these fast young girl need to remember that this is what happens when you play a grown game. There are consequences if you dont want them stay your age and act your age. THen grown men wont want to come on to those that are acting and showing a grown sexual interest in them.

First off,I know him and I know a person he delt with. Its sad that the "CHURCH" is so perverted and cant follow what the word says. He shouldn't be given in to these little girls. Sad that you guys are so brain washed that you cannot accept what this grown man has done and you accept it. I took lessons from him and I know he would never do that to me cause I would have told quicker than it started to rain in Seattle. He is sick and he needs to sit in prison period. Cause if it was my daughter he would have got dealt with church or not...
