Unfit to serve?

Al Stefanelli has an interesting post up called US Army: Atheist Unfit to Serve. The premise is simple. If a soldier does not have a spiritual side to his personality he is unfit to serve.

- A red bar means that you face some significant challenges in this area. This means that you should focus most of your attention on this area, though you should also note that placing too much emphasis here could result in other dimensions dropping. The key is to properly balance where you need the most development with the areas you are already doing well in.

They're taking this "Christian Soldiers" thing a little too seriously. What ever happened to "thou shalt not kill"? Then again, the Bible is chock full of killing in the name of the Lord, so apparently it's OK when it's done by his servants--which is why atheists (and gays) aren't fit to serve.
The Christian soldier issue is causing deaths of men in uniform in the war zone.

Just weeks ago headlines claimed in a poll taken: over 90% of the Afghan population believes they are in the midst of a holy war and had no clue 9/11 even occurred.

With FOX news beaming around the world with their incessant rants against Islam there is no reason for the MIddle East to consider the invasions anything but a holy war.
