Pastor Earl Post Jr. arrested

I am surprised stalking is illegal in Texas. I though pastors got a by when it came to stalking minors. I guess I was wrong.

Earl Post Jr. was arrested by the Canton Police Department, Monday afternoon.

He is accused of stalking a 17-year-old girl.

His arrested jeopardized a Christmas for a bunch of needy kids.

Christmas presents for hundreds of East Texas children may go undelivered this weekend due to a bizarre string of events that unfolded in front of our cameras Wednesday afternoon.

It turns out Post may have been a fraud working the classic pastor’s Christmas scam. You know, collect toys and then return them for cash. At least that’s what the locals thought, along with allegations the Post employed a registered sex offender.

I went to school with Earl and I can tell you he is one strange cat. How he became the Canton Herald's " Mand of the Year " last year beats me. The local police need to get a search warrent and go to his house because he probably has kiddy porn and boddies burried beneath his house.

Sounds like you are really stretching on slander. Would you like it if it was spread throughout the county you have bodies under your house. Probably don't count...that's gossip, and you (unless you are a teenager) should know better. Now give me the school dates you were with him since he is in his 50's. What was you doing 35 years ago?
Earl Post became "man of the year" based on his record instead of rumors, lies, and false statements. A board was convened with various candidates. I have seen the letters, references from churches, preachers, leaders, Christmas tree involvement, Katria and other disasters, providing clothing, transportation, buying and delivering goods, community projects such as civic center events, house repair arrangements for the poor and the like. Were you at the city hall when his presentation along with comemnts were made? I was!

It is so easy to spread rumors about things you know nothing about. The investigation should be on the mother of the girl that he supposedly stalked. I think she was allowing the girl to stalk him........ of course people that dont know him... do not realize he would to much of gentleman to spread that.... and what about the police department... have they made it their personnal vandetta to make him miserable. The alleged victim's uncle is a police there... hummmmmmmmm

Hi - if you have something I can use to prove charges were dropped, please send it my way. It is important that I update the story with the truth. I would even take an interview with the pastor.
Have it, a letter from the district attorney's office. Now you can update the false rumors with the truth like KLTV should have likewise but never did. If you are old enough to remember Paul Harvey, he would say "now for the rest of the story" Our president likewise is now famous for "the rest of the story" Troops are coming home and the rest of the story not told "replacements are going over" .

the truth is not what they seek, just what they wish for ? Sad really .
Per the Canton Police Department today, May 3, 2012, charges have not been dropped against Earl Post Jr, they are still pending. This man today has been terminated as a Wills Point ISD substitute bus driver due to his improper actions with girls 9 - 14 while on the school bus.

Maybe the Canton police and the district attorney need to get together. I have seen the letter from the DA including saying stalking charges have been expunged from record. You see, I don't have to make up statements but facts are what SHOULD be presented instead of heresay.
Well Nancy Smith you are wrong on several counts.
1. Charges have not been dropped against him.
2. He is now being Charged with sexual Misconduct again with several minor's aging from 9-14years old.
So before you open your mouth and try to State something that you believe to be correct you better get your ducks in a row.

Nancy you are right. I read the letter from the district attorney yesterday on stalking charges expunged from the record. So you have your ducts in a row. Mr Post has been relieved of duties as bus driver. Seems like the school monitor needs to do their jobs and bus drivers would not have to interfer. Mr Post has no interest in young girls and I will be one of the character witnesses to that including church involvement. I have also read some of the false face book statements and a proper attorney could likewise face counter-charges.
You might want to check the Texas sexual offenders. He is not on it
JTT...you might want to get your facts straight, he has NOT be fired!
There was not improper actions with minors. a girl had a low cut top on, and said he was looking down her blouse.
Part 1 - Gossip, rumors, facebook can really spread fast and ruin a person's reputation. Remember the Christmas Tree episode. Canton police and KLTV channel 7 news coincided the arrest so would be on television of arrest for one thing and KLTV news for another. As a participator including preparing list, gathering list, making phone calls, gathering gifts, packing them, accounting for them and delivering them including with help of the county police-fire departments
Part 2 - No one was paid money, the worker who was later learned to be on the sex offenders list was not one of the workers but visiting director and left, NO gifts were exchanged for money with the exception to buy other gifts for kids not receiving a response from the Christmas tree and that was for a previous year. No personal money gain envolved. By doing what they did and at the time, a lot of kids were not given gifts because someone (person reporting to KLTV) he would take over. Phone calls were made to my house after Christmas from parents who did not receive gifts. We personally brought some with our money and delivered (including Van) these gifts. The next two Christmas dates kids also had no Christmas Tree due to this individual who lied and spread the rumors. Kids had to suffer because of this and now are going without.
have personally seen a letter from the District Attorney saying stalking charges were expunged from records. Notice again, Channel 7 did not comment on the news in detail because not newsworthy.
Part 3 - Now the rumors are spreading again on facebook with slander close to lawsuit material without proper facts...just from heresay and gossip.. Before adding comments to facebook recommend gathering all facts to avoid lawsuits. Seems like lie-detector test would bring out the truth for everyone involved. Your children may be angels at home but away are different with their language and misbehavior unless that (foul language) is more acceptable nowadays. The bus driver could very well have drove the bus without inferring with the children but safety and school policy is involved also.
One last comment on the Christmas Tree issue. The braggart to Channel 7 broadcasted he would make sure all the kids were delivered gifts. THEY NEVER WERE. What you say to get on TV and your actions are two different things. Now do you know who is taking over the Christmas Tree. After two years I haven't heard or seen the trees around during Christmas. Guess parents will have to save all year to get the gifts because of improper interference and gossip.
