Youth pastor Daniel Robida arrested

DanielRobida Youth pastor Daniel Richard Robida was arrested for allegedly conducting an illicit relationship with a 17-year-old girl. Robida was looking for a replacement wife. Somebody who could handle his children.

Robida was a youth pastor at Harvest Community Church in Summerfield. It was not immediately clear if the victim was a member of the church.

On Saturday, a woman told deputies she believed her daughter was having a relationship with Robida. The 17-year-old girl was interviewed by Detective Charles Levay at the Sheriff's Office and told the official they had been having a sexual relationship within the last month that involved touching.

Again I ask, how is this in any way a Christian value? A married adult with kids is shopping for a wife among the teen crowd. Among children he has dedicated his live to teaching.  How do you go from teaching children to sleeping with?

17 is the age where I am inclined to stop seeing the girls as victims. Instead, I look at the actions of the pastor an ask, is this what Jesus taught. If the answer is no, which it clearly is in this case, then I classify him as a hypocrite who is unworthy of a position of trust. It seems only reasonable.

Pious, assholes.
you know what gets me? yes, he slept with that girl. and is ruining the lives of the people around him. what about his wife he did this to? how is she going to explain this to her children? how are the rest of us going to go to church knowing that went on there. people bothering those with cameras trying to contact his wife and the pastor at church for a comment. so that they can better themselves. what do you think she is going thru? the victim? no one has any sense of how other people feel. we need to be helping those that he hurt.

Mojoey , I'd like to say that what Danny did is certainly not a Christian value. Obviously he messed up and the consequences are catastrophic for not only him, but his wife, children, and mother not to mention the young lady involved as well.

I would also like to point out that in God's eyes sin is sin. There is no hierarchy when it comes to sin. On a spiritual level, stealing has the same consequences as murder. The reason I say this is because the vast majority of people think that Christians are suppose to be perfect and without sin, and these people are quick to jump on the lynch mob mentality bandwagon when something like this happens. The truth of the matter is quite the contrary. Jesus did not come to make bad people good, he came to make dead people alive, people who were dead in their sins. The Bible tells us in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" therefore ALL of us are no better than Danny.

I do NOT defend his actions, but Danny had succumbed to "a beautiful lie" just like Eve in the garden.1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” 2 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’” 4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Every day we face the same beautiful lies. "It's ok to pad my expense report" "It's ok to tell a little white lie" "The cashier gave me too much change back..oh well"

I guess what I'm trying to say is that there is a war raging every hour of every day, a spiritual war and this is the type of tactics the enemy uses. In this one incident, the enemy was able to inflict numerous casualties. Ultimately, however, we are responsible for our own actions. But I hope that rather than casting stones (because let's face it...can we really do any more damage to this man then what he has already done?) we pray for the spiritual healing for all parties involved.

If we were christains like we claim to be, we would not judge and forgive like the bible says. Yes they were both wrong but they still Deserve forgiveness. The problem should be aknowledged absolutely. But not letting her back to church isn't right. Everyone should be forgiven for theirs sins. Or we aren't true Christians.

Absolutely we are all hypocrites. If you are not Jesus himself then yes you are a hypocrite. I personally want to beat this guys ass for what he did. And I also believe he deserves forgiveness. The bible states that no one is perfect. I am definately not. But I also try to see both sides and try to do the right thing. In gods eyes they both had moments where they fell into te devils temptation. Should this be handled in a court absolutely. She should be sat down and told what she did wrong as well. Sure she knows right from wrong but she's in high school. Where cheating isn't a big deal. She has no concept of the real world yet. Mistakes happen. They should be delt with and forgotten. But being hypocrites it is easier said than done. That's why we need Jesus so he can help guide us to do the right thing when we stray away and follow the devil. He will forgive us because we are sinners and hypocrites.

I think that what has happened here is sad, but even at 17 she was old enough to know what she was doing! I am not trying to say what he did was right, but it takes two and when you are just weeks away form turning 18.....you know what you are doing!!! The 17 year old girl has been around the Robida family for awhile, she worked with his wife at one time. She knew what he was going through at home and for the certain people to get on here and say that his wife was innocent.....you didn't know her!!! She down graded him, cheated on him, and there were numerous times that he caught her having her wonderful conversation over the phone or over the internet with her different men. I know the children in this situation have been hurt, I feel for them......but I personally don't think that people should get on here and talk about how awful of a person this guy was when they don't know the full truth!!!!

ok u ppl think u kno everything but you dont. all u kno is wat u have read or seen on the news. the only two ppl who really kno wat happend is him and her so unless you are God then u really dont kno wat happened so you should really stop judgeing him because he is a great man. she was almost 18 she knew exactly wat she was doing and knew it was wrong but they both did but they made the decision together and its not right that he has to suffer for both their actions. i kno both of them very well and trust me this is eating her up inside. she hasnt slep since he was arrested.i see the pain she is in every day tryin to hide it and be the same person she has always been. and i really cant imagin wat the rest of his family is goin thru espesially the boys they were his life and he lost them completly. im not sayin that wat they did was right at all but i also dont think that he should be sitting in jail for it either. he never once manipulated her in any way. no matter wat anyone thinks. so y dont u ppl stop judging either of them unless u kno the whole truth

I have a question....has anyone in the church been there for his MOTHER!!!!! What was her sin that her church has ignored her?? You are Christians only when you feel like being self righteous, not when you need to care about or be there for someone else in need.
