Introducing Al Stefanelli

Please join me in welcoming our newest Atheist Blogroll member, Ali Stefanelli.

I would like to introduce myself to the Atheist Blogroll.  My name is Al Stefanelli.  I am a 47-year-old former Southern Baptist Pastor who has been an Atheist Activist and avid Anti-Theist for almost a decade.  I am a former weekly newspaper columnist and have hosted a small, syndicated radio broadcast in my past.  I am currently writing in the blogsphere at Al Stefanelli, where I write about all things concerning the absence of a belief in a god and how it effects our society and affects us individually.  My blog gets a fair amount of attention and I welcome comments from everyone.  I am also the founder of the United Atheist Front, which can be found currently on Facebook at United Atheist Front.

Al, I just read your comments about how your father sees the world around him. It was so spot on. In fact I must admit I saw a little of myself in in what you said. I am a liberal by nature, but I do have some criticism of the Black race. Question: if it is important for American negros to feel a connection to their African heritage, which I can kinda understand, why are they not rushing to the airways to raise money for the starving people of East Africa? I don't think blacks in America are nearly as socially and politically as homogenious as they or white America believe. I believe that there are as many ways of coming to terms with their place in history as there are people. If you care to respond to this, I would be interested in your reply.
