Rev. Edgar Sepulveda arrested

Another catholic priest was arrested for molesting a young boy. Rev. Edgar Sepulveda was the priest at Maria Regina Parish in Mount Olive, Santa Teresa Mission in Beulaville and Santa Clara Mission in Magnolia.

Catholics are getting their act together.

The Diocese received the allegation on September 9 when the Diocesan Office of Child and Youth Protection was contacted by telephone. The Diocese immediately implemented its policies and procedures, which include reporting the allegation to the North Carolina Conference of District Attorneys. An investigation into the allegation is currently underway by civil authorities, which necessitates Father Sepulveda’s administrative leave at this time.

I would like to see Baptists follow suit. It’s unlikely though, they follow their own path and do not accept central authority. As I’ve had many Baptists tell me, “We don’t follow a pope!”

Father Edgar is an ethical and loving priest whom I have known for years. He has always involved youth and makes strong ties between the church and the community it serves. He is a charismatic leader loved by the catholic followers. Let´s wait for the judicial investigation before we make any a priori judgements.

Father Edgar is good human, I know him for 20 years. He is a ethic leader with the community and with the catholic followers. Please, make the aproppiate investigation about his profile before you make any judgements.

I think the Catholic bishops are over reacting from extreme to extreme from not acting in the past to over reacting in the present. The problem is once an allegation is presented a priest seems to be considered guilty without even proper investigation yet. Priests are condemned already by the media without court trial.

See here: http://www.catholic.org/national/national_story.p... At present only 40% are found true on allege accusations on Catholic priests. A high % might be true in the past but it is no longer true now. Protestant pastors actually have a higher %. There is now a clergy witch hunt.

I have known Rev. Edgar Sepulveda for over 35 years and I can only say good things about him and his career as a priest and as human been.

I met him as a teenager nearly 15 years ago and left me many lessons for my spiritual life is a great human being who knew how to reach youth and closer to God, and God Himself will take care that the truth be known

I have known Father Edgar for many years and there is no way that this horrible accusation is true. Too bad many in the media are already judging him to be guilty, without having all the facts.
Shame on that boy for making this up.

Father Edgar is a loving and caring man whom my family and I care for deeply . We trust him with all our hearts and know he is not guilty of any wrong doing the only thing hes guilty of is loving everyone with his whole heart. I would trust him 100% with my beautiful kids and they trust him as well. He without sin shall cast the first stone and i believe that was Jesus not any of you negative people who want to punish him without hearing his side. You have no right so back off cause one day you will need some understanding an no one will want to give it to you. Father Edgar the Salinas family loves you and stand behind you 100%.

Rev. Edgar Sepulveda, is a good priest. Im sure that satan is trying to put him out of our communitty, because he knows that God is using him as an instrument to save souls. We are about to proclaim VICTORY, because he will be back very soon. And whoever is judging from the heart will see the POWER of God. Father Edgar, thanks for your friendship and love.
