Pastor Jeff Kilburn and his wife Alice Kilburn both turned themselves in on charges they molested a 17-year-old boy. The Kilburn’s ran a food ministry called Jeff Kilburn’s Kitchen. Jeff is also the pastor at Believer’s Ministries, which meets at Caesar’s Creek Pioneer Village Meeting
House. This case is developing. Authorities are bringing in a special prosecutor because the Kilburns are related to Warren County Commissioner Mike Kilburn who plans to run against Jean Schmidt (D – Ohio) in 2010.
I cannot recall another Christian group sex allegation recently, so the Kilburn’s enter a whole new category of nuttiness. I wonder where the get there morals?
A grand jury charged them each with sexual imposition and child endangering in indictments released on Monday.
They are accused of having sex with the teen at Clark's Homeplace, the couple's South Lebanon ministry where Jeff Kilburn performed regularly with his Wildgrass bluegrass band.
You know that Jeff, he could sing the pants of a hungry teen.

It happens, probably more often than people think. It just doesn't always make the news. Only extreme stories like this and those who minister at large churches (or in Ted Haggard's case, both!) do.

The sad part is, they'll never learn. They might grovel and beg for forgiveness, counting on their dogma to force believers to give it to them. They might blame temptation and/or Satan. They will never take ownership of the fact that this is who they are.

Don't be so hard on these folks for adding a little spice to life. You shouldn't condemn them and forget all the good things they've done.

Looks as if he not only had issues with Mr. Barker

He filed charges on his own family the same day.

And he filed on his own brother 3 weeks after that. I guess he didn't like it when his own brother thought he was sickening as well!

LEBANON — A couple that ran a South Lebanon ministry has pleaded guilty to sex crimes in a plea hearing today, May 24, in Warren County Common Pleas Court.
Jeff and Alice Kilburn were accused of sexual imposition and child endangering in an incident with a 16 year old that occurred at their Clark HomePlace ministry in South Lebanon last summer.
Both plead guilty to sexual imposition, a misdemeanor, and were sentenced to 60 days in jail and put on two years probation. The jail sentence was suspended for both and they were ordered to stay away from the teenager.

The couple will be classified Tier I sexual offenders and will be ordered to report their residence to the sheriff’s office annually for the next 15 years.
Jeff Kilburn ran the religious ministry meeting house and played with his band Kilburn Wildgrass at the facility, which closed July 10. Last summer, Jeff Kilburn said health issues forced him to shut the doors at HomePlace. He denied any wrong doing at that time.
The Kilburns live in Massie Twp., where Jeff Kilburn is pastor of Believer’s Ministries, which meets at Caesar Creek Pioneer Village Meeting House, according to his Web site.
Adams County Prosecutor Aaron Haslam served as a special prosecutor in the matter because the Kilburns are related to Warren County Commissioner Mike Kilburn.
