Pastor Larry Pineda arrested

Pastor Arcadio “Larry” Pineda was arrested and charged with three felonies. He stands accused of incurring debt in his church’s name and then spending it to support his own lifestyle.

Arcadio "Larry" Pineda, 65, was charged Friday with three felonies — grand theft and two counts of filing false documents. Investigators with the District Attorney's Office arrested him at his Oakley home Monday and booked him into Contra Costa County Jail in Martinez on $110,000 bail.

Pineda filed falsified documents with the secretary of state and the county recorder in 2008 to gain false authority to obtain the mortgage loan that used the church building as collateral, deputy district attorney Ken McCormick said.

Financial crimes are insidious. They destroy communities and leave a trail of distrust and anger which lasts for years. What comfort will the victims find by put Pineda behind bars for10 years?

Cute, but seriously, I have reported on over 500 Christian pastors who have preyed on their flocks over the last three years. To my knowledge, there has been one Atheist who has done something comparable. Get your facts right before you attempt to make a point. Maybe then people will take you seriously.

I do not recall the name. Sorry. He was a doctor in California. He molested children. It was very bad.

I knew this man in high school. He is so full of love. I know he has done something horible to his church and the community. But please do not think that everything he did was false. Maybe I'm wrong. But he made a difference in my life. I forgive him of this and I don't count his goodness and deception.

The church has know corrected and made changes to where this will not happen again.it is know time to let the community see the diffrence from the inside and not look at the outside and think of what was. God is in control in this house know and all are focused and are listining
