A former minister and music teacher who pleaded guilty to molesting three boys at churches in San Diego and Riverside counties has been sentenced to prison.
Jimmie Robinson Jr. of Los Angeles received a 17-year sentence Tuesday as part of a plea deal.
Robinson is the poster boy for child predators working within the church to molest children. Of course, “the church” did little to stop him.
Robinson has served time for two previous convictions in San Diego County for assault with a deadly weapon and felony domestic violence with use of a weapon, he said. Those convictions date to about 10 years ago, he said.
During the investigation of the September complaint, police said a detective discovered two similar allegations against Robinson in the past eight years.Charges were filed in one of those cases, which occurred about two years ago. Detectives are still gathering evidence in the complaint made eight years ago, Henton said.
