Baptist pastor arrested for "fill in the blank"

I write this type of post so often I have a template for it.

Daniel J. Lowhorn, a Baptist pastor at Midway Baptist Church in Tennessee stands charged with 14 counts of sexual exploitation of minors.

Reportedly, the alleged offenses were committed via the Internet, and computers were seized yesterday at Lowhorn's home when McCullough, TBI agents, and Putnam Sheriff's Detectives Shane Higgenbotham and Jimmy Patterson executed a search warrant there.

McCullough said the charges against Lowhorn are as follows: two counts of solicitation of a minor; 10 counts of solicitation of a minor to observe sexual conduct; one count of attempted sexual exploitation of a minor; and one count of attempted especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor.

The alleged crimes were committed via computer. Lowhorn was caught by a female law enforcement agent posing as a young girl. I do not know why people think using their computers on the Internet is anonymous. To people in the know, you stand out like a well lighted billboard.

You should really check your facts and maybe, possibly try to know something about what you're talking about before you join in the parade of judgemental people trying to destroy a man.

ps you are correct, however about one thing...to "people in the know..." lowhorn never believed he was speaking to a young girl. he believed he was speaking to someone posing as a young girl. he was, ironically, correct. he is no pedophile. he has no interest in minors.

Really, a pastor believed he was acting like a perv with another adult acting like a child. What kind of sicko is this guy? Here is what I believe. He had no idea. He thought he was going to hook up with a child. I hope he enjoys prison.

You are entitled to your opinions, however misguided they may be. There is no point in arguing with you as you are unlikely to change your mind. However, I will keep you in my prayers.

PS Another error. He is not the pastor of the church.

Hey MoJoey,This guy isn't the pastor of Midway Bapt.he wasn't even a pastor, a youth minister yes. so yes you have errors in your story,and from what I understand the church Fired Lowhorn, immediately after this happened.also Midway Bapt. does a sex pred check before hiring people or even letting them work around Children, so you have to understand that to the churches knowledge prior to this,was that Lowhorn had a clean rap.If something had turned up they would have never hired him. One further note you never know who will turn out to be a sex pred. it could be anyone,it could be your kids teacher,your next door neighbor,your best friend,your parent,or even one of your teen aged kids.,unfortunately the only way to know who they are is to catch them,and try to help them get well,although most sex preds have no real desire to get better,I believe that some do have the capacity to do so.
