Things that piss me off part II

Christians post all sorts of drivel on that backs of their pathetic little cars. Take "What Would Jesus Bomb" for instance. I see this and want to puke. What would Jesus Bomb? Ask Bush and his fundie war mongering crew - they are Christians and they bomb the shit out of everyone. When one Christian voices a concern like this, the audience is me, not George W. The audience is the Atheist, not the Christian. They think we need to know what Jesus would do, yet what Jesus does through our fundie leaders is enough to make me sick. And yes - this pisses me off.

You do realize that isn't a Christian bumper sticker, right? It's making fun of the whole WWJD trend and throwing their support of Bush and the reality of their actions back into their face. Maybe we're on the same page here, but the way you wrote your entry, it seems as if you think that's a Christian sticker somehow supporting Bush.

  2. This sticker is not supporting bombing in the name of Jesus, it's pointing out the hypocrisy of Christians who support the actions of George W. in waging a war in violation of everything Christians pretend to believe in.

  3. I know it is written from a liberal Christian standpoint criticizing George w. and his theocratic war. I also know that every time I see it I hear the voice of the left saying "Christians don't do this", while I listen Bush and Co. laugh. The message is for me and it is a lie.

  6. In all actuality this is a post that deserves more depth.

    I too first thought "That's not a Christian bumper-sticker"

It is though. A Christian apologist bumper sticker.

Don't worry, we're not all warmongering imbeciles. Most of us just like to trash those who are the radical right. Never mind we read the same holy book.

Wow, what a weird post. Do you seriously spend this amount of emotional energy on something like this? I suggest WAY MORE REEFER.

There is also a fantastic ontological crisis clawing its way to the top here, but we can deal with that over beer.

  9. RG - it helps that he did his best to drive like a Texan in heavy LA traffic. I was ready for a road rage incident when I reach for my camera instead.

  11. I still suggest way more reefer.

Also, you are totally on the hook this year mix cd wise. I'm telling B we gotta swap in LA during the Jan meetings. You owe two.

  12. I think given that this car also has a GLT "=" sticker (that little blue square with the two horizontal yellow bars), most likely the "what would jesus bomb?" sticker is sarcasm.

It points out the hypocrisy that is presented by Christians who bomb in the name of democracy and peace when their own doctrine points out the folly.

It's possible the driver was a Christian, but I doubt it.

Free speech biatch! Liberals are the most hypocritical people I know. You cant judge a mass of billions of people (christians) by the actions of a few.. thats about as close minded and ignorant as one can get.... READ A BOOK!
