Carson Ugly # 4

Every day I pass this tree and wonder, did they plan this? A single tree, on a desolate stretch of road, protected by barbed wire and a brick enclosure. It's so out of place, yet so common. We are in Carson after all.

I look at it the other way around. Whether planned or not, a tree grew in this desolate place, and the people who built the wall thoughtfully detoured around it, preserving one more tree.

Do you live in Carson? I've only driven through bits of it on a visit.
