Youth Pastor Jonathan Giles guilty

JonathanGilesBaptist youth pastor Jonathan Tyler Giles pleaded guilty to charges he raped a 16-year-old girl who was a member of his youth group.

Jonathan Tyler Giles, 26, entered open guilty pleas Friday morning in Judge John H. Gasaway's court.

Giles was charged with three counts of statutory rape by an authority figure, sexual battery by an authority figure and two counts of soliciting a minor in an October 2009 indictment.

It’s not good news. Giles pleaded out to lessor charges and will not have to register as a sex offender. That means that after he does his time, he’s back into a Baptist church near you. He can be sentenced to up to five years in prison.

That is a true scumbag. He doesn't deserve the air he breathes. If anything he should be a registered sex offender! I would rather people be aware of him than him having to do time! He will be judged for his actions. He just thinks he got away with it!

i know of 3 churches that fired him for trying to date their teens. He should be on the registry!

There are no details given by this post. A sex offender has to be registered no matter how they plead. If he really did this there would be some kind of actual proof. This post is bull crap. It's just someone trying to ruin a good instructor.
